El 27 de Febrero de 2012, EMI lanzará las ediciones ‘Immersion’ y ‘Experience’ del opus de Roger Water, PINK FLOYD ‘THE WALL’, para celebrar el cierre de la colección WHY PINK FLOYD? de reediciones y lanzamientos extendidos. THE WALL se mantiene como el lanzamiento más vendido después del legendario THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON de 1973.

Lanzado en Noviembre del 79, THE WALL encabezó los charts de álbumes en los Estados Unidos, Francia, Alemania, Suecia y Austria. ‘Another Brick in the wall pt 2’ – el primer sigle de Pink Floyd en el Reino Unido desde 1968 – se convirtió en #1, vendiendo más de un millón de copias unas semanas después de su lanzamiento.

En 2010 y 2011 Roger Water realizó una gira con una nueva producción de THE WALL aclamada internacionalmente. En Mayo de 2011 se le unieron el guitarrista David Gilmour y el baterista Nick Mason al escenario del London’s 02 Arena. Ahora, en 2012 continúa su gira por el Hemisferio Sur y Norteamérica. Entre el 7 y el 20 de Marzo de 2012, Roger Waters realizará 9 (nueve) funciones sold out de THE WALL LIVE en el Estadio de River Plate lo que marca un récord en la historia de los show musicales del país.

La edición de 7 discos de THE WALL incluye un DVD con un clip de la gira de 1980 y el documental ‘Behind The Wall’, más, por primera vez, CDs con extractos de los demos originales y primeras versiones de Roger Waters. También incluye versiones inéditas de ‘Confortably Numb’ y ‘Run Like Hell’ de David Gilmour. La versión ‘Immersion’ también incluye THE WALL LIVE’, compilado de la gira original de 1980/1981.

Tanto el box set ‘Immersion’ como la edición ‘Experience’ incluyen una grabación rara de ‘Another Brick in The Wall pt 1’. Para destacar para los fans, ésta demo muestra la evolución hasta el track final. Adicionalmente, ‘The Doctor’ explora los orígenes del track de referencia ‘Comfortably Numb’, creando una introspectiva en las demos tempranas de la banda.

THE WALL EXPERIENCE EDITION tendrá 3 CDs
El album de studio original (2 CDs), remasterizado digitalmente por James Guthrie, con un CD adicional con una selección de demos de distintas etapas de la producción del álbum, y un nuevo booklet de letras de 28 páginas, empacado en un nuevo digipak.
